TidySub Usage Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This Usage Policy sets out what you can and cannot do with TidySub, the bid management platform built and operated by Obsidian Build & Sound LLC, doing business as Automated Construction ("we," "us," or "our"). It is part of the TidySub Terms of Service. The rules are short because the idea is simple: use TidySub for your own honest bidding work, and do not use it to harm anyone else.

1. Who This Applies To

This policy applies to everyone who uses TidySub: administrators, estimators, and anyone else a customer company gives an account to. The customer company is responsible for making sure its team follows it.

2. Permitted Use

TidySub is for managing your company's own bid invitations, estimates, proposals, follow-ups, takeoffs, contacts, and related documents. You may upload plans, specifications, and emails you have the right to use for that work, and you may use the AI features to help with it.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use TidySub for anything unlawful, or to help anyone else do something unlawful
  • Try to access accounts, records, files, or instances that do not belong to your company, or test our systems for weaknesses without our written permission
  • Share your sign-in details, use someone else's account, or keep using an account after you leave the company
  • Upload plans, specifications, emails, or other material you do not have the right to use, or that breaks a confidentiality agreement you have with a client or general contractor
  • Upload malware or anything designed to damage, overload, or interfere with TidySub or the services behind it
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data from TidySub other than through the export features we provide
  • Get around the approval steps, permission checks, or company boundaries built into the product
  • Copy, resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer TidySub, or use it to build a competing product
  • Remove or hide any notice that content was generated with AI when a client, contract, or law requires that disclosure

4. Using AI Features Responsibly

TidySub's AI features draft messages, extract bid details, answer questions about documents, and measure quantities. They are assistants, not estimators, and they make mistakes. When you use them you agree to:

  • Read every AI draft before you approve it. The message goes out under your name and your company's name.
  • Verify quantities, prices, dates, and scope produced by AI before they go into a bid, proposal, or contract
  • Not present AI output as the work of a licensed professional, such as an engineer or architect, when it is not
  • Not try to make the assistant act outside your own permissions, reveal other companies' data, or ignore its safety rules
  • Not use the AI features to generate content that is deceptive, defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory

5. Email and Messaging

TidySub can send bid submissions, declines, requests for quotes, and follow-ups through a connected mailbox. Those messages are real emails from your company. You may not use these features to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email or anything that would be considered spam
  • Impersonate another person or company, or misrepresent who a message is from
  • Send content that is misleading about your bid, your pricing, your qualifications, or your intent
  • Contact anyone who has asked your company to stop

6. Reporting Misuse

If you see something in TidySub that looks like a security problem, a data leak, or misuse of the platform, tell us at odalo@automatedconstruction.io or use the bug report form inside the app. Please do not share the details publicly until we have had a chance to fix it.

7. Enforcement

If you break this policy we may remove content, suspend or deactivate accounts, or end a customer's access to TidySub, as described in the Terms of Service. Where practical we will contact the customer's administrator first and give them a chance to fix the problem. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes we will also notify the customer's administrator.
